Fouad joined OrthoManhattan early this year and has quickly become an integral part of our team. One of his top priorities is ensuring each patient undergoes high-quality imaging using the latest technology in the most efficient manner possible.

What do you do at OrthoManhattan?
I am the X-Ray technologist at OrthoManhattan. I operate the imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images of the patient’s internal structures and bones. I prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and positioning patients correctly to ensure accurate imaging results and patient comfort. The most important part of my job is communicating with physicians and other medical professionals to discuss patient imaging needs and results.
What drew you to OrthoManhattan?
I have worked in a variety of settings including emergency rooms and urgent care facilities since becoming an x-ray technologist. I have had the opportunity to be involved in different medical specialties, but I find orthopedic imaging to be the most interesting. When I was given the opportunity to join Orthomanhattan, I knew it was my time to grow my skills while learning from the best.
What would you like every patient to know about OrthoManhattan?
After working at many different facilities and environments, I am confident that OrthoManhattan has the perfect balance of exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable orthopedic physicians with exemplary bedside manners. Our goal is to ensure the perfect treatment plan for our patients. In addition, we always foster an environment that is safe and welcoming for everyone who enters through our doors. In a gist, I want every patient to know that if my family member needed to see an orthopedic surgeon, OrthoManhattan would be the only place I would trust to treat them.
What is your favorite part of your workday?
As an X-ray Technologist, I spend my entire day taking pre-operative and post-operative X-rays. Witnessing the healing process and success of patient surgeries has been the most satisfying and favorite part of my day, especially when I see a patient who had difficulty maintaining an x-ray position before and no longer finds it difficult after treatment.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
Soccer has to be my favorite sport to play and watch. I also enjoy playing other sports like volleyball and swimming. Above all, I enjoy spending time with my family and my friends.
What is your favorite thing about being in New York?
New York is a true melting pot. The diversity of cultures and ethnicities is humbling. Meeting different types of people and learning about their backgrounds always interests me. I also really appreciate that everything is within walking distance.
